There are many aspects that contribute to what we call 'ageing'.
Yes, aside from an increasing amount of wrinkles and back pains, ageing is a multi-factorial process. From a biological perspective, our cell reproduction rate begins to slow down and we can experience neurodegeneration. This is a process which involves the degeneration of neurons within the brain. Neurodegeneration causes a loss in linkage within the brain, and so signalling becomes an issue. This is observed in individuals with Parkinson's disease. Parkinson's disease is a neurodegenerative disease involving the degeneration of dopaminergic neurons.
